I agree with the previous comments.

As a regular on LP´s thorntree, we are all too aware of the unbridled and self fulfilling BULLSH*T which emanates from wowcuba. The” heiress to the wowcuba fortune” hahaha… , as she is known down here, spends most of her time defaming competitors and slandering peers. Seems that after being banned from thorntree for this exact reason, she has now moved her droning to her own wordpress blog…Thanks to this blog/journalist for finding it and quoting her comments…!!

Her self importance and demeaning comments should be sent to the Xanadu Varadero manager she calls “thick headed”. Probably an educated and respectable Cuban, wrongfully accused of corruption by this bimbo, he should put and end to the ranting and ensure she is relegated to writing BULLSH*T about small Canadian islands and not Cuba.

What an embarrassment

It always amazes me that someone with a complete lack of financial understanding translates their ignorance into an alleged scam by the Cubans. Let's look at the example provided by this blog.
The price was likely quoted as $70 CUC (Cuban Convertible Pesos) but anybody with any knowledge of financial transactions in Cuba knows that a credit-card receipt cannot be made out in CUC. It must first be translated into US Dollar Amount. This is currently $1.08 USD per CUC. Then Cuba transactions add the 3% fee that the Credit Card companies charge for use of a credit card. This is done in many places besides Cuba by-the-way.

So one then does the math and finds out that a $70 CUC price translates into $77.70 USD which is what the credit card receipt should show. No Scan, no error, and a proper transaction when using a credit card in Cuba.

But the whole nonsense of the author's "theory" is nothing more than unbridled BULLSH*T and a slight on the Cubans where no fault lies. The author really needs to learn about International Financial Transactions. All they've done by opening their mouth with this blog article is prove how stupid they are.

No es de extranarse que le nieguen cualquier cosa a un cubano en Cuba, pues los cubanos siempre han sido ciudadanos de segunda clase en su propio pais, sin derechos y sin libertad.

If wikileaks didn't have any webpages left they'd have to just have to have all their leaked documents published instead? Flood the market.

12/29/2010 ~ The attempted repression of WikiLeaks and the vain efforts to silence Brother Julien Assange was doomed to utter failure from the start and has had the opposite effect. Now people worldwide are more aware of the sneaky, vicious and fascist nature of the enemies of the people, esp. the rogue Obama Regime. We have to see deeply and distinguish the puppets from the master puppeteers. It is a truism that repression breeds resistance.

The whole situation has been elevated. Many millions of people see the positive benefits of WikiLeaks in terms of waking people up to the evils that can happen when fascism is allowed to become more and more powerful. Much is to be said, but for now just let me type the Freedom of Creative Expression is a humane right bestowed upon by Creator!

It's like the BBC banning a raunchy or sweary single. Everyone immediately goes out to buy it, resulting in the single going straight to top.

If I had the money, I'd take a holiday in Cuba. Just to piss the authorities off.

The Free Speech loving US also has those National Security Letters.'

I saw that show too. The story about the US librarians fighting back and winning is inspiring. Given the information wikileaks has released to the global press, I am convinced the information should be hosted in every public library in every country that has libraries.

Without the truth we have no hope of ensuring we live in free democracies.

These government officials forget they are employed by us. They are paid by us and as such it is high time they demonstrated real respect to their employers, not lip service glossed over with spin and untruths.
