Villa Gaviota Baracoa

This city hotel, comprising a total of 34 rooms on 2 floors, is set in a converted colonial fort. Set at the top of an elevation, it offers guests panoramic views of the mountains, the city and one of the three bays situated close by. The famous Yunque de Baracoa can be clearly seen from the hotel. It is on a small private beach where, legend has it, Christopher Columbus planted the famous Cruz de Parra, considered the oldest religious object conserved from the Spanish presence in America. The complex in Baracoa Guantánamo, El Castillo is located in the fortress of Seboruco of Santa Bárbara. Sandy Maguana Beach is a 30-minute drive away and the complex is just a few kilometres from the city's airport.
